This report covers highlights of the problems and challenges in the reporter's classroom interpreting task, including fetters on the interpreter's subjectivity, challenges from different English accents, and lack of coherence and logic. The first difficulty is reflected in three aspects:inadequate preparation, fixed mindsets, and complicated sentences in one's source language;the second comes from the phonetic, lexical and syntactic features of different English accents;the last is related to the reporter's slow response to everyday language and improper arrangement of memorization and note-taking.Reflecting on and analyzing the researches on interpretation and the recordings of experienced interpreters, the reporter puts forward corresponding solutions to these problems. The solutions are divided into three parts. In term of the fetters on interpreter's subjectivity, the reporter should make adequate preparations before class, get rid of fixed mindsets and improve the ability of analyzing one's mother tongue. With regard to the problems caused by different English accents, the reporter is supposed to find out features from phonetic, lexical and syntactic perspectives so as to figure out the interpreting strategies correspondingly. When it comes to the lack of logic and coherence, the reporter is expected to train her capability to respond to everyday language quickly and to make proper arrangement of memorization and note-taking.At the same time, she should also learn how to get a logical note structure.Based on detailed and careful analysis of first-hand materials, the report provides references for interpreters in classroom interpreting, especially in those in which different English accents involve.
