The Investigation Into The Mastery Of Chinese Nouns Denoting Orientation�Qian/Hou� By Students From Central Asia

With the continuous development of cognitive linguistics,people are gradually aware of the relationship between abstract spatial citation and specific spatial orientational words.And the study of �qian/hou� is no longer limited to express spatial orientation.We can also express time,state and many others through using metaphor.But in the present,the researches beyond the time level of �qian/hou�are still not deep and overall enough.Therefore,there are still many problems in the practical application of nouns denoting orientation nouns �qian/hou�.Based on cognitive linguistics theory and location metaphor theory,taking the data collected and selected from the BCC and the CCL as the research object,this paper mainly analyzes the metaphorical law of the Chinese nouns denoting orientation�qian/hou� from space to time,state,social relations and so on.At the same time,in the manner of the questionnaire investigation,this paper combines the research of orientation nouns with the mastery of Central Asian students,analyzes the data according to their mastery and puts forward some teaching suggestions.It is expected to be helpful to the teaching of nouns denoting orientation in the teaching of Chinese as a foreign language.
