Written by a eminent monk named Fa Yun in South-Song Dynasty(1143),the book called Fan Yi Ming Yi Ji(?????)is a buddhism sanskrit translated names dictionary.More than 1000 items and their explanations are listed in this book.The author quoted a lot of literatures to note pronunciation,translate the meaning of words,inllustrate allusion.The quoted books have a big space to research.The publication version song is the base.It's the publication of Pan of south China sea.And then build the database to check.The book quoted 105 kinds of classics,286 times.These quotation involved many aspects such as language and literature and historical events.They are used to explanation and illustration,and have big research value.To compare the quotation and original text,we could find that there are lots of differences.The differences include different words and translate explanation,and the leak and derivate and error of words.Finally,we find the important value in the area of quoted books.Because of that some ancient books are disappeared,some materials can't be researched.And the ability of wriiter is insufficient now,the research is a bit of shallow.We look foward to provide help to researchers in the future.
