| The activity of translation builds a bridge for communication between different countries.At present,there is a trend of rapid growth of demand for high quality translation of academic texts.But the current situation of academic text translation is not optimistic.For instance,the quality of the academic text translation is not satisfactory,and the academic text translation does not draw enough attention from translation circles.These problems not only restrict the dissemination of academic achievements but also affect the quality and development of academic text translation.This translation practice report is based on the translation of Translation in Language Teaching.In the report,the translator introduces the content and language features of the source text.Before translation,the translator refers to relevant parallel texts.The passive sentences,attributive clauses and long sentences are widely used in the source text.Thus,the report mainly studies the translation methods and skills of the passive sentences,attributive clauses and long sentences.According to the special stylistic features of academic texts,the translator takes full account of the language differences between English and Chinese,and makes the translation more smooth and fluent through the techniques of sequence translation,inverse translation,sentence recombination and so on.Through this translation practice report,the translator arrives at the following conclusions: First,in academic texts,passive sentences are often used to make the text more objective and formal.Second,long sentences are often used to expand the information.It provides some solutions to the problems in academic text translation and it is helpful to improve the quality of academic text translation.Figure 0;Table 0;Reference 24. |
