The communication in the world is becoming increasingly close with the development of science and technology.As one of the important means of scientific and technological exchanges between countries,the English Chinese translation of scientific and technological documents is particularly important.The author translates the book from the second chapter to the seventh chapter,whose main contents include advanced Li-ion technology,capacitor storage,eco-compatible storage,new chemistry,smart materials,technology transfer,research promotion and education,and completes the translation report.As a science and technology book,this book is logically coherent with more chemical terminology and complicated sentence.Therefore,the translator works hard to convey the original information and illuminate the Chinese expression.The difficulties in translation practice include the translation of terminology,attributive clause and passive sentence.To deal with the above issues,the translator applied the Nida's Functional Equivalence Theory and the domesticating method for completing the translation,which provides some practical value and reference for science and technology translation.
