Directional complement,it is not only a hot topic in Chinese grammar research but also the focus in foreign language teaching research.When the directional verb qi(?)and qilai(??)to modify verbs as complement,the grammatical rules are complex.Therefore,it becomes a difficult point for foreign students to learn.The foreign students often experience multiple types of errors when they learn v qi and v qilai.It is also common to meet the confusion between the two forms.Substantial achievements have been made in the ontological research on the complementarity in Chinese,which mainly focus on the syntax,semantics and grammaticalization of v qi and v qilai.There are few comparative analyses between v qi and v qilai.The author only collected one article on the academic website,which is only a comparison of Chinese grammar rules.It is not highly correlated with the Chinese acquisition process of foreign students.Therefore,the existed research is not enough to explain the causes of all the errors of v qi and v qilai.The research on teaching Chinese as a foreign language with v qi and v qilai presents an unbalanced state.It mainly makes a single,isolated study of v qilai or a comparison with the compound directional complement of the same types.What's more,there are seldom studies on v qi and rarely combine v qi with v qilai together.The study on the combination of v qi with v qilai is in need.Therefore,a targeted comparative analysis of thesyntactic semantic features of v qi and v qilai,an analysis of the errors in foreign students'acquisition of v qi and v qilai,which will promote the future research of v qi and v qilai to reduce the error rate of foreign students in the teaching of Chinese as a foreign language.In this paper,v qi and v qilai are taken as the research objects on the basis of previous research comparing the characteristics of the ontology of v qi and v qilai by collecting the corpus and questionnaire of corpus on foreign students acquisition errors type and cause analysis.Based on this,this paper puts forward some new suggestions on the teaching and learning materials compilation of v qi and v qilai so as to help foreign students to acquire v qi and v qilai.The paper mainly includes the following parts.The first chapter,Introduction.This part states the significance of the topic,summarizes the ontological research and the current research on TCSL from the current study situation of international students.Besides,The source of corpus and research methods are summarized.The second chapter,v qi and v qilai Chinese ontology comparative analysis.This chapter summarizes the syntactic,semantic and pragmatic features of v qi and v qilai,as well as their similarities and differences combined with the corpus of modern Chinese,corpus of Peking University,the corpus of modern balanced Chinese corpus of the national language commission,and the example sentences in the General Interpretation of the Directional Complement.The third chapter analyzes the types and causes of errors in foreign students' acquisition of v qi and v qilai.Based on the statistical analysis of corpus and questionnaire,five types of errors are obtained in the study,in which the substitution errors are primary,the addition errors and the omission errors come second.This chapter also discusses the causes of the v qi and v qilai acquisition errors of international students,which mainly include three types: negative transfer of foreign students' mother tongue,negative transfer of knowledge of the target language and influence of learning materials.The main reasons for the errors are the negative transfer of mother tongue and the influence of learning materials.The fourth chapter,on the basis of the types and causes of errors in the third chapter,it puts forward suggestions for teaching Chinese as a foreign language,gives some designs of teaching Chinese as a foreign language according to the specific errors of foreign students.
