Classroom activity design is an important part of the teaching Chinese as a foreign language.The key and difficulty is how to enable students to effectively learn language knowledge and language functions through activities and solve real life problems of activity design.Task-based Language Teaching(TBLT)developed from the 1980 s to the present with relatively mature theoretical basis.It is core idea of "learning by doing,learning by using" of great significance for the design of spoken classroom activities.This paper uses the TBLT theory to analyze the intermediate textbooks of "Experiencing Chinese Oral Course" for intermediate foreign students,especially the activities in the book and then combines the teaching practice,hoping to put forward some useful suggestions for the activity design of intermediate spoken language course.This paper is composed of six parts.The introduction mainly describes the research background and significance as well as the research status of TBLT theories and classroom activity design in China and internationally.Chapter one introduces the relevant theories of TBLT including the definition and types of "task",the theoretical basis,practical steps and principles of TBLT.In the second chapter is analyzed the "Experiencing Chinese Oral course" of intermediate materials,and focuses on analyzing the activities of the activity and expanding activity type,structure,topic,purpose,ways,function,situation,language elements and the six kinds of activities the characteristics of the constituent elements,and from two aspects: the input and output to discuss how to balance the language form and content in processing activities.Chapter three summarizes the advantages and disadvantages of teaching activity design.And puts forward some useful suggestions for the activity design of intermediate spoken Chinese class as a foreign language.The types,structures and components of activities are classified and illustrated one by one for people in need.Chapter four designs a concrete case and carries on the teaching practice,test to the front theory and the research.Lastly,the conclusion summarizes the research results,limitations of this paper and puts forward the prospect of the research on the activity design of intermediate spoken Chinese class.
