A Practice Report On The Simultaneous Interpretation Of "2018 Beijing-Tel Aviv Innovation Conference"-An Analysis Of Four-character Chinese Words And Parallel Structure

This practice report is mainly based on the author’s own experience of conducting simultaneous interpretation for the “2018 Beijing-Tel Aviv Innovation Conference”,and it hopes to present the difficulties and challenges the author encountered during the task,analyze several cases and attempts to make an in-depth study and summary.The report mainly contains four major parts,including task description,procedure description,case analysis,summary,and conclusion.In task description,there will be a brief introduction to the interpretation task,which includes the date,place,audience,and information of the interpretation task.In the second part,the procedure description,a detailed introduction to the overall interpretation practice will be provided.In the pre-task description,materials provided by the sponsor and the collection of possible words,expressions and sentences and other preparation work will be discussed.In the report,case analysis will be the core,in which the author attempts to apply the theories she learned in class into practice in the simultaneous interpretation task,hoping to find some effective approaches which she and other trainee interpreters can employ to deal with the interpretation of both the use of multiple four-character Chinese words and information-intensive parallel structure.Thus,in this section,an in-depth analysis of the cases taken from the interpretation task will be provided.Therefore,in the conclusion part,a summary based on this practice will be presented.The author hopes that this report can serve as a reference for the author and future interpretation learners.
