Chinese complement is very complex and has always been the teaching focus and teaching difficulty in the field of teaching Chinese as a second language.In particular,the modal complement is very difficult for Thai students to master.In view of this situation,the author has defined and classified the modal complement on the basis of the previous studies,through the form and corpus of language tests.This research has been analyzed the errors and causes of Thai students' Chinese modal complement and has put forward the corresponding teaching suggestions.The thesis is composed of four parts: The first part is the introduction,the origin and background of the topic,the purposes and significance of the research,the research content and methods,the research status,etc.The second part is the description and analysis of the corresponding forms of modal complements expressing evaluation in Chinese and descriptive modal complements in Thai.The third part is the summary and classification of Thai students' acquisition of Chinese modal complement and errors.The fourth part is the analysis of the causes of Thai students' modal complement errors from the angles of negative transfer of Thai language,the generalization of the target language's rules and the misguidance of teachers' teaching.The fifth part is the suggestions for the teaching of modal complement from the aspects of the construction of teaching materials,teachers' teaching and students' learning.
