Alcoholism is a common substance abuse, the extent of which is often overlooked.Alcohol abuse in a family severely disrupts family interaction, and the disorder of family order will have a certain impact on children's internal psychological and external behavior.Although more attention has been paid to the children of alcoholics in foreign scientific literature since the 1960 s,the children of alcoholics are a large but hidden group because most problem drinkers and their families do not seek help.Based on the protective response model, this study regards the heavy drinking group of parents as the risk factor, positive friendship quality as the protection factor and negative friendship quality as the risk factor, and discusses the mechanism of their effects on adolescent mental resilience. Objective: to test the difference of friendship quality and mental toughness between the heavy drinking group and the non-heavy drinking group. To examine the correlation between parental alcohol abuse and friendship quality and mental toughness in the parent alcoholic group and the parent non-alcoholic group. To examine the mediating effect of friendship quality among middle school students;Through the research results to the community or relevant researchers to provide constructive advice and theoretical reference. This study randomly selected middle school students from grade one to grade three of four middle schools in xinjiang uygur autonomous region as the research object.A total of 800 questionnaires were issued, among which 735 were valid, and the effective recovery rate was 92%.Using the alcohol abuse screening questionnaire for children of alcoholics, participants were divided into two groups by dichotomy: the parent alcoholics group and the parent non-alcoholics group. The scores of mental toughness and friendship quality were measured by mental toughness questionnaire and friendship quality questionnaire.SPSS24.0 software was used to analyze the data of valid questionnaires collected, and the following conclusions were drawn:(1)there was a significant ethnic difference in whether the parents drank too much.According to the post-mortalization test, the degree of alcohol abuse of the parents of weiwu children was higher than that of the han, kazak and other nationalities. The emotional control dimension of middle school students' mental toughness variable has significant difference in gender, and boys' emotional control ability is higher than girls'.There were significant differences in the dimensions of goal focus between middle school students. In terms of the total score of mental toughness, the mental toughness of middle school students in the heavy drinking group was significantly lower than that in the non-heavy drinking group.Friendship quality has significant difference in grade. This study found that the negative friendship quality of students in grade two and grade three is significantly higher than that in grade three, and the positive friendship quality in grade three is significantly higher than that in grade one.(2)correlation analysis showed that in the parental alcoholism group, there was a significant positive correlation between parental alcoholism and negative friendship quality, and a significant negative correlation between parental alcoholism and goal focus, emotional control and interpersonal assistance.Negative friendship quality was negatively correlated with emotion control and family cognition.Positive friendship quality was positively correlated with goal focus, emotion control, positive cognition and interpersonal assistance. In the non-alcoholic group, there was a significant positive correlation between parental alcohol consumption and positive friendship quality.Negative friendship quality was negatively correlated with emotion control and family cognition.Positive friendship quality was positively correlated with goal focus, positive cognition, family cognition and interpersonal assistance.(4)the mediating effect test showed that in the heavy drinking group of parents, the degree of heavy drinking of parents and the negative friendship quality were significantly negative predictors of mental toughness, and the negative friendship quality played a mediating role between the degree of heavy drinking of parents and the mental toughness of middle school students. In the non-alcoholic group, parental alcohol consumption and positive friendship quality positively predicted mental toughness, and positive friendship quality played an intermediary role between parental alcohol consumption and mental toughness of middle school students.
