This paper chooses five autobiographical novels written by the writer Amelie Nothomb as the research material.In view of her unique life experience and complex growing background,this paper combines textual close reading with background investigation to analyze the self-changing course of her five works.The analysis is carried out along the time line from childhood The character of rain?Loving Sabotage to youth Unheard of?Fear and trembling and to adulthood Memory of Happiness.The first part examines the life trajectory of The character of rain in his infancy according to his Meditation of The character of rain and Loving Sabotage.From a strong narcissistic awareness to a diversified interaction with others,she began to realize the existence of the "other" and explore the changes of her self-awareness and self-awareness in her childhood under the interweaving of eastern and Western cultures.The second part clarifies the hero's pursuit of identity in the intense cultural conflict,based on the experience of his love work in Japan in his youth shown in Fear and trembling and Unheard of.The protagonist deals with his identity crisis by returning to Japan to seek roots.In the process of seeking roots,he encounters conflicts and contradictions that are difficult to resolve.From the protagonist's deviation from Japanese cultural tradition,social regulation and marriage tradition,this paper analyses the deep reasons why he finally fled Japan and chose to return to Paris in search of self-worth identity.The third part,based on the 44-year-old writer's experience of returning to Japan in Memory of Happiness,reveals the cultural identity formed in the process of leapfrogging and migration in eastern and Western countries,as well as the strategies and ways of self-writing.At the same time,it explores how recalling the past and returning to self can support individual life as a spiritual integration force.From the perspective of cross-cultural self-growth,this paper combines relevant cross-cultural theories to explore the self-recognition and self-reconstruction in Nothomb 's works under the cultural leap.It also linearly examines and studies the path of individual growth in his five autobiographical novels,and clarifies the changes of individual psychology and consciousness in cultural conflicts.Under the background of globalization and globalization,Amelie Nothomb,as a "borderless" writer,has a corresponding blending relationship between her real life experience and her autobiographical works.Under the influence of multiple cultures,the author's self-consciousness construction process is also very unique.Through the analysis of Amelie Nothomb 's autobiographical novel and her experience,this paper interprets her growth process in different countries,cultural atmosphere,political environment and economic conditions,and excavates the psychological characteristics of her important stage of life.This paper tries to expand the domestic academia's understanding of Nothomb 's works,and at the same time,to further deepen the interpretation of his texts.From the problem of self-cultural adaptation to the problem of social group's diaspora psychology,it provides a reference for the study of more changeable diaspora in the era of globalization.
