At present,TCFL textbooks play an important role in classroom teaching.Combining with the theory of Chinese international pedagogy,this paper makes a comprehensive comparison and concrete practice of the selection of textbooks for elementary Chinese as a foreign language,enriches the comparison and practice of the selection of textbooks for elementary Chinese as a foreign language in China,and suggests that the compilation of the selection of texts should be more contemporary and appropriately involve foreigners in Chinese subjects,with narrative as the main genre,improvement of catalogues and prefaces,and addition of applied articles.In terms of cultural content,we should coordinate linguistic and cultural knowledge and increase communicative articles.New words should be based on primary vocabulary,balance the vocabulary of each lesson with the total vocabulary of students,and control the length of sentences.At the same time,the practice of text selection should take into account the teaching objectives,teaching contents,learners’ characteristics and teaching strategies,enrich the compilation and practice of text selection in TCFL textbooks,so as to achieve better results in text selection and teaching.This paper takes "Grade 10 Chinese" synthesis(3,4)and "College Chinese Primary Intensive Reading" textbooks(3,4)as examples,and comprehensively uses several research methods,such as quantitative analysis,descriptive research,literature research and data statistical analysis.On the one hand,this paper makes a comparative analysis of the subject matter,genre,cultural content and language complexity of the selected textbooks,and points out the selection of four textbooks.In view of the advantages and problems of the article,the author puts forward some corresponding suggestions for the compilation of the selected text in view of the problems.On the other hand,the author provides tools for the teaching types,the use of textbooks,classes,teaching objects,teaching content,teaching background,teaching objectives,teaching time,teaching aids,teaching difficulties,teaching steps,new words,grammar,texts and other parts of the text.It also points out the experience and suggestions in the practice of selecting texts in order to help the compilers and practitioners of selecting textbooks.The main shortcomings of the article are the classification of genres,which may be inaccurate due to subjective factors.
