"Party-oriented education" refers to the ideological and political education implemented by the Kuomintang after the establishment of the Nanjing National Government. The main content is Three Principles of the People."Party-oriented education" originated from Sun Yat-sen's "party governance" thought,Dai Jitao explained it as "party-oriented education",and later became the political education thought promoted by the Kuomintang party departments at all levels. This kind of education was not only implemented in the narrowly defined education sector,it had penetrated all aspects of society. At that time,Zhejiang was the political and economic hinterland of the Kuomintang,so it actively implemented "party-oriented education".Party members are the primary group to carry out this education, and the content mainly focused on the ability to do party affairs work and strengthening understanding of the party. The Peace Preservation Corps in Zhejiang had a late start, but developed rapidly. As it growed, the Kuomintang began to "partyized" it to achieve its full service. In June1938,Zhejiang National Self-Defense Force was established. The Kuomintang asked the officers and soldiers inside to join party, and set up regiment and company party branches to implement a "political training plan".During the War of Resistance Against Japan,Zhejiang Provincial Political Work Team was under the control of the Communist Party of China.Although the Kuomintang and the Communist Party achieved the second cooperation in Zhejiang, the Kuomintang's education of thePolitical Work Team members still emphasized that there was an "inseparable" relationship between the Political Work Team and the Kuomintang. The Kuomintang set up party doctrine curriculum, hired and verified party doctrine instructors on various campuses, and actively carried out extracurricular activities related to "party-oriented education".In addition,Zhejiang Province also carried out "social missions" to the public, and continuously strengthened the propaganda of the party doctrine and current affairs policies with the help of party newspapers and social commemorative activities."Party-oriented education" of the Kuomintang had certain results in objectiveness, but since it was compulsory, its purpose was to allow all sectors of society to accept the political opinion of "one party, one leader, oneism",eventually led to its failure.
