Analysis Of Simultaneous Transmission Examples According To The Functional Equivalence

This paper is an analysis and research on the practice of simultaneous transmission under the guidance of Nida's functional equivalence theory.And the theory of functional equivalence has played an important role in guiding translation practice.At the same time,the theory of functional equivalence,namely "dynamic equivalence",will help interpreters to focus on key information points and enhance the quality of interpretation.The source language of this simultaneous interpretation practice is the Report on the Work of the Government-Delivered at the First Session of the 13th National People's Congress of the People's Republic of China on March 5,2018.The report on the work of the government in the past five years and its recommendations on the work of the government in 2018 is an important part of the two sessions,and the report invites comments from members of the national committee of the Chinese people's political consultative conference(CPPCC).The report on the work of the 19th national congress of the communist party of China(CPC)gives a detailed report on China's development policies and measures over the past five years and in the next five years.As the whole government work report of the 19th national congress of the state council takes nearly two hours,this paper will select a part of premier li Keqiang's report on the development of the previous five years in the first 20 minutes of the meeting to write the paper,so as to capture the key points of the paper and describe and study specific practical issues of simultaneous interpretation.As for the simultaneous interpretation,it has become a popular translation method in today's world,and 95%of international conferences in the world adopt it approximately.And simultaneous interpretation is highly academic and professional,and is often used in formal international conferences.Therefore,the simultaneous interpretation practice of international conferences is of great necessity for interpreters.This study mainly guides practice from the following aspects of functional equivalence theory:lexical equivalence,syntactic equivalence,speed synchronization,and information equivalence.In this paper,there are two most important problems:one is cultural equivalence in the source language,which includes the translation of cultural special phrases,the recombination of long sentences and the replacement of active voice and passive voice;The other is the problem of interpreting memory.The starting point is to accurately express the information of the government work report.Even with different cultural and political backgrounds,the translated content of the report can make the audience get accurate information.And the ultimate purpose of this study is to guide the simultaneous interpretation practice of government work reports from the perspective of functional equivalence theory with an attitude of research and exploration,and to discover new dimensions and methods of simultaneous interpretation.
