This article is a translation practice report on legal texts.The translation material is selected from Chapter 2 of the American Agricultural History,Volume ?,Federal Agricultural Policy.This chapter mainly describes the United States' laws and regulations against to agricultural depression in the 1920s and 1930s.Under the guidance of Skopos Theory,according to the characteristics of the original text and the problems encountered in the actual translation process,combined with specific examples,some translation principles and translation methods are summarized in order to provide references for translation of similar texts.The article is divided into five parts.The first chapter is the introduction,introducing the content,background and significance of the study.The second chapter is the part of theoretical exposition,reviewing the domestic research on translation Skopos Theory,and explaining the applicability of translation Skopos Theory to this translation material.The third and the fourth chapters are the main body of the article.They third chapter explains the translation principles of accuracy,refinement,and rigorousness that should be followed in the translation of agricultural policies and regulations under the guidance of Skopos Theory.The fourth chapter illustrates the translation methods:translation of increasing and decreasing method,conversion method,word order adjustment method.The fifth chapter is the conclusion part.
