Since the 21 st century,the speed of economic globalization has been accelerating,and the trade between countries around the world has become increasingly frequent.Foreign trade is closely related to its economic growth in every country.Economic and trade text plays the role of information transmission.Therefore,the translation of economic and trade text is of huge importance.Straight Talk on Trade-Ideas for a Sane World Economy is mainly about the author's analysis of the world economic situation in recent years.Through the analysis of translation task process and translation case,the paper focuses on the issues that translators should pay attention to in the translation of economic and trade text.This paper consists of four parts: the description of the translation task,the process of the translation task,the analysis of the translation case,and the summary of translation practice.The analysis of the translation case is the main part,which is mainly based on the study of vocabulary and sentences.The translation of vocabulary mainly adopts two translation methods,conversion and addition.The sentences are analyzed from three aspects: passive sentences,attributive clauses and adverbial clauses.In the process of case analysis,appropriate translation strategies and methods are adopted.Through translation and case analysis,the paper summarizes the problems often encountered in the translation of economic and trade text,and summarizes some translation methods for the translation of economic and trade text,which provides some convenience for others.Through the research of this topic,it is helpful to have a better understanding of the characteristics of economic and trade text,master the translation methods and strategies of economic and trade text,and improve the translation proficiency of economic and trade text.
