This thesis comes with the background of the economic and trade cooperation and e-commerce development between China and Bulgaria.It uses the Chinese and Bulgarian bilingual Internet business promotion texts of two Bulgarian companies as examples of analysis and research.It explores the basic methods and techniques of translation of Bulgarian-Chinese business promotion texts.The research focus of this thesis is on the main functions of Bulgarian-Chinese business promotion text,its translation requirements and translation methods,and emphasizes the role a translator plays in the translation process.This paper observes the relationship between the original and the translated text.The research methods used are mainly empirical research methods,including functional analysis methods,statistical methods,and inductive methods.This thesis is divided into five parts:Introduction(Chapter 1);China and Bulgaria's economic and trade cooperation and rapid development of e-commerce(Chapter 2);important functions of business texts and translation requirements(Chapter 3);translation of Bulgarian-Chinese business promotion texts(Chapter 4)and Conclusion(Chapter 5).The preface(Chapter 1)mainly introduces the background for choosing the thesis topic,research methods,sources of materials and the purpose and significance of the research.Chapter 2 is a brief overview of the traditional friendship and strategic partnership between China and Bulgaria,the "17+1"cooperation initiative,and e-commerce in the economic and trade exchanges between China and Bulgaria.Chapter 3 explains the important functions of the business promotion text and the Internet business text,as well as their translation requirements.Chapter 4 covers an analysis of the translation of the Bulgarian-Chinese business promotion text,uses the texts of the websites of two Bulgarian companies as an example,to explore the characteristics and methods of translation of Bulgarian-Chinese business promotion texts.The conclusion(Chapter 5)summarizes the translation methods,techniques and existing problems in Bulgarian-Chinese business promotion texts.The consistency between the translation of the business text and the original text is very high.The content of the original text remains unchanged:however,what is changed in translation is the language form.In business translation,in addition to language refinement,accuracy,and rigor,the translator must also pay attention to the style and characteristics of the business text,and must consider the client's acceptance,so that the client understands the characteristics of the product,in order to finally achieve the ultimate goal of marketing.The qualities that a translator needs to possess include foreign language and native-level proficiency,linguistic competence,in-depth cultural knowledge,and professional competence in mother tongue and other language.In addition to the transformation of long sentences,word conversion,words and sentence order transformation and other conventional techniques,Bulgarian-Chinese business promotion translation also needs to pay attention to the style and characteristics of business text,determine the target audience to make the translation suitable for the Chinese audience,as well as to pay attention to professional terms,marketing idioms,consumer psychology and other related factors.The relevant language translation software tools can also play an important role in the business translation.At present,there are still many problems in the translation of Bulgarian-Chinese business texts.Rough translation can be difficult for Chinese to understand and accept.Sometimes,although the translation is accurate and understandable,it does not conform to the Chinese language habits.Discrepancy or ambiguity between the translation and original text is also a potential problem.Research on Bulgarian-Chinese business translation is still in its infancy.This thesis is only a compilation of research that is based on work practices.In the future,more in-depth analysis will be needed.
