Practical Report On Interpretation Of Character Documentary Films

China and Japan are neighboring countries.There are not only close economic cooperation but also frequent interaction in cultural exchanges between the two countries.At the same time,the character documentary,centered on characters,introducing Japan's national conditions in politics,economy,social life,culture and other aspects.It covers a wide range of fields and is an important window to understand Japanese culture.However,there is still a lack of research on documentary translation of characters in the area of Japanese interpretation.As a result,there is little of case analysis and methodological summaries that can be applied to translation practice.In this paper,the difficulties and solutions in the translation of character documentaries are explored through a large number of translation cases.It is hoped that this report will provide some ideas and references for the future practice of character interpretation.The author interpret Japanese character documentaries,selecting three feature videos from the series of character documentaries of Emotional Continent broadcasted by Japanese TBS as corpus,record and analyze the practice process,and finally form this practice report.In the course of this practice,the author has gained great experiences and summarized some interpreting strategies for documentary films,with a view to providing some reference for future translation.This report consists of five parts: the first chapter is the task description,mainly introducing the form,purpose and significance,time stage and so on;the second chapter is the theoretical basis,which introduce the theory of interpretation and its application;the third chapter is the practical process of interpretation,briefly introducing the specific time arrangement and the key and difficult points in practice;the fourth chapter is the case analysis,aiming at the key and difficult points,combining with the case,summarizes translation strategies;chapter five is a summary of practice.
