Due to the differences in thinking habits and cultural backgrounds between China and the Arab countries, the two languages have different characteristics. In the process of consecutive interpreting between Arabic and Chinese, interpreters often encounter different long sentences in Arabic, and their complicated structural sentences often make mistakes for interpreters. This article is based on mock conference of the closing ceremony of 2017 first World Youth Forum by Egyptian President Abdulfattah El-Sisi.As a mock conference case study.During the translation process of the mock conference,it was found that due to the influence of the mother tongue, the word order and logic processing of the text were mainly processed in the Arabic word order, which made the audience difficult to understand when outputting Chinese. The paper explores several long-sentence processing strategies in Arabic by comparing and analyzing the differences between long sentences to improve the quality of Arabic – Chinese consecutive interpretation.
