Financial news, with stylistic features such as timeliness, professionalism and terminologies, refers to news related to economy, commerce, finance and consumption, aiming to spread financial information to the outside world. In the process of translation, the author finds that there exist a large number of attributive clauses in financial news, thus, this report focuses on the analysis and discussion of the translation techniques of attributive clauses. The original text of English financial news contains many long sentences with complicated sentence patterns, among which attributive clauses play a very important role. The author takes Eugene Nida's Functional Equivalence theory as the basic criterion for translation and analysis of financial news and strives to achieve functional equivalence between the two languages. In translation, the author summarizes several translation methods of attributive clauses:preposition, postposition, fusion, subdivision and adverbializaton,in which the attributive clauses can be translated into various adverbial clauses that express the relationship of cause, result, objective and transition.According to Nida's Functional Equivalence theory, attributive clauses in complex sentences and with long modifier elements in financial news can be translated in different ways,so as to deliver accurate, rigorous, concise and clear information to readers. It is hoped that this report will be useful for the future translation of similar texts.
