In view of the differences between Chinese and English financial news, the author takes the functional equivalence of Nida Eugene as the theoretical framework and takes the features of financial news into account in the process of translation.According to Nida,it is more important to pass the information and style of the original text rather than the form. While translating, the author finds the attributive clauses appear very frequently with complicated sentence patterns, which have caused some difficulties to the translation practice. Therefore, this report focuses on the most prominent difficulties in translation, namely the translating of attributive clauses. This report adopts case study as the methodology. The cases come from the foreign websites, the typical attributive clauses are selected and studied.Based on the features of financial news and this translation practice, the author has studied the cases and summarized some translation methods proper to attributive clauses in financial news. The author finds that the translation of restrictive attributive clauses,non-restrictive attributive clauses and attributive clauses with adverbial function in this translation practice should respectively adopt the translation methods of fronting, postponement and blending to get the Chinese translation of typical cases.Through the translation practice and the application of translation methods, the author has realized that in the process of translation, one should accurately understand the original text, grasp the structure and find precisely the antecedent and adopt appropriate methods to make the target text natural and smooth in accordance with the given contexts.
