Degree adverb is a very important part of speech.Compared with verbs,nouns and adjectives,it has a small number,but its characteristics are very prominent.Besides being able to be adverbials and not to be a sentence alone,degree adverbs have the characteristics of strong adhesion and positioning.Therefore,for Chinese learners,degree adverbs have always been the difficulty of learning and using.At the same time,different countries and acquired languages have different influences on them.Therefore,the study of nationalization can better find the problems of Chinese learners in the process of learning Chinese,and then put forward effective teaching strategies and methods.Based on the author's teaching experience in the past year as a Chinese volunteer teacher in the Confucius Institute at Kenyatta University,this thesis takes the students of the Confucius Institute at Kenyatta University and the Kenyan students of Shandong Normal University as the main research objects,takes 27 degree adverbs appearing in level 1-6 of the Chinese Proficiency Test Syllabus as the standard,and based on the data collected from questionnaires,personal interviews and teaching practice as factual data,analyzes and studies the errors of acquisition degree adverbs of Kenya Chinese learners,and proposes solutions for them.The thesis is divided into four parts:The introduction part starts from the reasons and background of the topic,research ideas and methods,theoretical basis,research status of degree adverbs and the background of Confucius Institute at Kenyatta University,and expounds how the author determines the research topic,and what research methods and theoretical knowledge are used to carry out the investigation and research in the Confucius Institute of Kenyatta University.The first chapter is the investigation and analysis of the degree adverb deviation,from three aspects: the investigation object,the investigation method and thecorrelation analysis of the investigation results.The second chapter is about the types and causes of degree adverbs' errors,in which the three main types of errors:substitution error,wrong order and omission,The author analyzes the causes of error from three aspects of textbook,teacher and student.The third chapter gives three aspects of teaching suggestions for Chinese learners in Kenya.The conclusion part summarizes the main content of this paper,and also explains the research prospect of degree adverb teaching in Chinese international education.
