This article takes modern Chinese degree adverbs“hen(?)”,“tai(?)”,“feichang(??)”and“shifen(??)”which belong to type of“hen(?)”as the research object.Based on the theory of comparative analysis and error analysis,it starts from the interlingual comparison of Chinese and Thai degree adverbs and makes an analysis about errors of Thai students in learning“hen(?)”,“tai(?)”,“feichang(??)”and“shifen(??)”.And then some teaching suggestions will be put forward,mainly including the following:Firstly,it makes an analysis about the Chinese and Thai degree adverbs“hen(?)”,“tai(?)”,“feichang(??)”and“shifen(??)”from two aspects of semantics and syntax.On this basis,compare the similarities and differences in the semantics and syntactic functions of the Chinese and Thai degree adverbs“hen(?)”,“tai(?)”,“feichang(??)”and“shifen(??)”.There are the following findings:“hen(?)”can be used as an adverbial and degree complement but cannot be overlapped while(?)(?)can only be used as an adverbial but can be overlapped.In Chinese,“tai(?)”often needs to be used in conjunction with“le(?)"while in Thai there is no restriction with(?)(?).The differences between“feichang(??)”and(?)(??)as well as“shifen(??)”and(?)(??)mainly lies in the collocation of negative adverbs.Besides,“feichang(??)”in Chinese can be overlapped to express the degree of deepening while in Thai(?)(??)cannot be overlapped.However,(?)(??)and(?)(?)can be used together to express a higher degree,which is illegal in Chinese grammar.Secondly,combining the questionnaire and the corpus survey of the interlanguage corpus,this paper summarizes the types and tendency of errors when Thai students'using“hen(?)”,“tai(?)”,“feichang(??)”and“shifen(??)”.It is found that there are four types like omissions,overrepresentation,addition and misordering.And there is a certain tendency in types of errors:in“hen(?)”,its distribution is the widest,with the largest proportion of errors being addition.Among the errors of“tai(?)”,the errors of omissions account for a larger proportion,especially the omissions of"le(?)"in the structure of"tai(?)...le(?)".The errors of“feichang(??)”and“shifen(??)”mainly focus on addition and misordering,among which“feichang(??)”also involves errors in overrepresentation.The reason why there are errors about the acquisition of Chinese degree adverbs by Thai students is not only due to linguistic factors,including the negative transfer of native language and overuse of target language knowledge as well as the complexity of the target language,but also nonverbal factors like the misleading of teaching materials and reference books as well as teacher's improper explanation in teaching.Finally,in view of the characteristics of Thai students'acquisition of Chinese degree adverbs“hen(?)”,“tai(?)”,“feichang(??)”and“shifen(??)”,the paper puts forward some suggestions from three aspects of textbook compilation,teachers'teaching and students'learning to help improve the teaching of Chinese degree adverbs in Thailand.
