With the development of economic globalization,cultural globalization has also become an irresistible trend.The classroom of Chinese International Education is actually a place for intercultural communication.For cross-cultural communicators,the awareness and ability of cross-cultural communication is also very important.The non-verbal communication cultural elements play an increasingly important role in cross-cultural communication and second language learning.In the process of writing,the author confirmed the frame of the article by reading lots of articles about non-verbal communication culture and teaching Chinese as a foreign language and learning from it.Firstly this article studies and explains non-verbal communication cultural elements by consulting relevant literature.Secondly,this article designed the questionnaire from the perspectives of body language,object language and environmental language to learn the foreign students' understanding of those cultural elements in audiovisual materials.It was found that most foreign students could not fully understand it and need explanation from teachers.After that,I conducted a teaching interview with teachers on it to understand the current teaching status of it in intermediate Chinese audiovisual courses.It was found that teachers lacked systematic and standardized awareness of non-verbal communication cultural elements and almost didn't teach it.Then this article explores the intercultural differences,their performance and the teaching inspiration for non-verbal cultural elements.Synthesizing the above inspirations and analysis of questionnaire and interviews,this article has designed the teaching of elements.This research can help teachers focus on and explain important non-verbal communication behaviors in audiovisual materials.It helps students better respect and understand multiculturalism,improve their Chinese language skills and intercultural communication skills.
