Interpersonal adaptation is the process when an individual enters a new environment,actively adjusts his emotions and behavior,improves the communication environment,responds to situational pressures,adapts to the new social group and maintains harmony with others,and establishes a good interpersonal process.The university stage is an important part of the individual's step into the society.The study found that effectively improving interpersonal adaptability is conducive to the healthy development of college students' body and mind.Interpersonal maladjustment can cause them anxiety and loneliness,affect their academic performance,produce bad behavior or severe mental illness.Peer support,as an important source of social support for adolescents,has a significant impact on adolescents' emotions,self-worth,and social behavior.Interpersonal communication efficacy is defined as the individual's expected assessment of the level of interpersonal communication.The level of interpersonal communication effectiveness plays an important role in establishing a support system for individuals in unfamiliar environments,and helps individuals adapt to new environments quickly.Therefore,to understand the interpersonal adaptation status of college students,to clarify the causal relationship between peer support and interpersonal adaptation,and to further explore the role of interpersonal communication efficiency between the two,provides a reference for effectively improving the interpersonal adaptation ability of college students.Study 1: Recruit 360 college students from a university in Henan Province,use the experimental method to create an experimental situation of strangers making friends in interpersonal adaptation,and use a 2×4 test room design,in which the independent variables are peer support recipients of different genders(male vs female))And the type of peer support(peer emotional support VS peer information support VS peer no support VS no peer no support),the dependent variable is interpersonal adaptation(satisfaction of the conversation process),the higher the satisfaction of the conversation process represents the interpersonal adaptation of the subject The better the level,the lower the satisfaction during the conversation,the lower the interpersonal adaptation level of the subjects.Test the causal relationship between peer support and interpersonal adaptation of college students,and further investigate the optimal matching of peer support types and peer support recipients of different genders in interpersonal adaptation of college students.In the second study,563 college students from several universities in Henan Province were selected.Using the questionnaire method,the concept of interpersonal communication efficacy was introduced on the basis of the first study to explore the intermediary role of interpersonal communication efficacy in peer support and interpersonal adaptation of college students.Results:1.The main effect of peer support recipients of different genders is significant,and the interpersonal adaptation score of the female test group is significantly higher than that of the male test group.The main effect of different types of peer support is significant.The interpersonal adaptation score of the peer information support group is higher than that of the peer unsupported group and the non-peer unsupported group;Groups;overall,the support group's interpersonal adaptation score is significantly higher than the non-support group.2.The interaction effect between peer support recipients of different genders and peer support types is significant.Research results of different support types on different gender peer support recipients: the male peer information support group's interpersonal adaptation score is higher than the peer unsupported group and the peerless unsupported group;the peer emotional support group's interpersonal adaptation score is higher than the peerless unsupported group;the interpersonal adaptation score of the peer unsupported group is higher than that of the non-peer unsupported group;the interpersonal adaptation score of the female peer information support group is significantly higher than the peer unsupported group and the non-peer unsupported group;the interpersonal adaptation score of the peer emotional support group is higher than that of the peer unsupported group support group and no companion no support group.Research results of different gender peer support recipients on different types of peer support: in the peer emotional support group,different gender peer support recipients have significant differences,the female group's interpersonal adaptation score is higher than the male group;in the non-peer support group,different genders Peer support recipients differed significantly,and the interpersonal adaptation score of the female group was also higher than that of the male group.The overall condition of interpersonal adaptation of college students is good,and there are significant differences in gender,source of birth,major,whether it is a single parent family,whether it is an only child,and parenting methods.The score of female interpersonal adaptation is significantly higher than that of men;the score of interpersonal adaptation of urban students is significant Higher than rural students;arts and sports college students 'interpersonal adaptation scores are significantly higher than those of humanities,social sciences and sciences;non-single-parent families' interpersonal adaptation scores are significantly higher than single-parent families;non-single-child students 'interpersonal adaptation scores are significantly higher than their only children;democracy The interpersonal adaptation scores of students of different types of parenting methods are significantly higher than those of authoritarian ones;however,there is no significant difference in different grades,parental education levels,different school levels and different school properties.3.The overall situation of interpersonal adaptation of college students is good,and there are significant differences in gender,source of birth,major,whether it is a single parent family,whether it is an only child,and parenting methods.The score of female interpersonal adaptation is significantly higher than that of men;the score of interpersonal adaptation of urban students is significant Higher than rural students;arts and sports college students' interpersonal adaptation scores are significantly higher than those of humanities,social sciences and sciences;non-single-parent families' interpersonal adaptation scores are significantly higher than single-parent families;non-single-child students' interpersonal adaptation scores are significantly higher than their only children;democracy The interpersonal adaptation scores of students of different types of parenting methods are significantly higher than that of autocratic ones;but there is no significant difference in different grades,parental education levels,different school levels and different school natures.4.Peer support is significantly related to interpersonal communication efficiency.Peer support can positively predict interpersonal communication efficiency;Peer support is positively correlated with college student interpersonal adaptation;Peer support can positively predict college student interpersonal adaptation;Interpersonal communication effectiveness and college student interpersonal adaptation is significantly related,and interpersonal communication efficacy can positively predict college students' interpersonal adaptation.Interpersonal communication efficacy plays a partial mediating role between peer support and interpersonal adaptation.Therefore,in the situation of making friends with strangers,the interpersonal adaptation level of the support group is higher than that of the non-support group;the optimal matching results of different types of peer support,different gender support recipients and interpersonal adaptation of college students: providing women with the best peer emotional support.Interpersonal communication effectiveness plays a partial intermediary role between peer support and interpersonal adaptation of college students.
