Peer counseling is provided by the training or supervision of non-professionalpersonnel which has the function of psychological counseling to help, with mutualadvantages and characteristics, easy to accept and universality, and it has been paidmuch attention by colleges and universities in China in recent years. The applicationof peer counseling in the colleges and universities has mushroomed, this new typeof helping students to improve the level of mental health can develop activities morequickly and effectively, get the students’ recognition and solve the problems such aslack of psychological teachers, but it should be more necessary to have a specificstudy about the content of peer counseling for university students’ mental health,therefore, the research and development of peer counseling for university students’interpersonal relationship has more important meaning.This study uses the questionnaire survey to368college students in a certainuniversity in the northeast area, studying the present situation of college students’interpersonal relationship level, the following conclusions:1.The level of college students’ interpersonal relationship is good in total, with atotal share on good condition.2.The influencing degree of college students’ interpersonal problems hassignificant differences in the major, grade, gender, whether he is the one-child or not.3.There is no significant difference for the level of college students’ interpersonalproblems from different placesThis study is through eight times intervention training to observe the effect ofpeer counseling for college students to improve interpersonal relationships. The resultshows that:1.Peer counseling can ease the degree of college students’ interpersonalrelationship problems effectively.2.Peer counseling can improve the ability of college students’ interpersonalcommunication, making friends, and the communication with opposite sex.3.The way of peer counseling can promote the communication between peers,make full use of non-professional psychology the students’ help, and alleviate theshortage of the psychological teachers in colleges and universities greatly.4.The way what peer-counseling to improve college students’ interpersonalrelationship skills can be applied to practice.
