Drama in Education is a kind of drama learning and teaching method which is flexibly used by the teachers in the classroom.As far as language learning is concerned,Drama in Education provides learners with the opportunity to experience different roles firsthand,and allows learners to practice their language skills and interpersonal skills in a given situation.As far as cultural learning is concerned,learners can promote their perception,understanding,internalization and application of cultural knowledge by practicing the cultural language in drama.During the one-year volunteer work of Chinese teachers in Indonesia,the author tried to introduce Drama in Education into Indonesian international Chinese speaking teaching,and explore the integration of it in language teaching and culture teaching,and put it into practice.The thesis is divided into five parts as follows:The first part is the reason for choosing the topic,the purpose and significance of the research,and launches in detail from three aspects:the concept discrimination,the historical development and domestic and foreign research reviews of Drama in Education.At the same time,it clarifies the research methods.The second part is the feasibility of Drama in Education applied in Indonesian speaking class.First,it lists the significant characteristics and advantages of Drama in Education.Then it analyzes the feasibility of applying Drama in Education from four dimensions:teaching object,teaching purpose,teaching content and teaching environment.Finally,it further proves the applicability of Drama in Education through preliminary questionnaire.The third part is the teaching design and implementation of Drama in Education applied in Indonesian speaking class.Based on the determination of teaching principles and teaching models,this part shows the complete teaching design and the implementation of the traditional Mid-Autumn Festival and the Spring Festival in Indonesian speaking class.The fourth part is the feedback and thinking of Drama in Education applied in Indonesian speaking class.First,it collects and analyzes the questionnaire and test results of the students in the later period,then it records and organizes the interviews with teachers,and synthesizes the above two analysis results,combining with the author's classroom observation and practical experience,it puts forward the problems in the process of applying Drama in Education,and finally it reflects on the problems and puts forward the strategies and suggestions for drama teaching.The fifth part summarizes the main content and research conclusions of the research,highlights the innovations of the research,summarizes the shortcomings of the research,and finally clarifies the future efforts and future prospects.
