Second-language phonological acquisition is the basis of second language acquisition. And the Chinese tone is the key and difficult point in second-language phonological acquisition. At present, the study of tone acquisition and teaching in the Chinese as a foreign language focuses on the analysis of traditional errors. It is pointed out that language transfer is the main reason for foreign students' tone acquisition errors, thus suggesting teaching suggestions. We found that students whose native language is a non-tonal language can also learn Chinese tones, students whose native language is a tonal language, for example,Thai students have different situation when they learn Chinese tones. What's more, when they master the single tone, there are still several problems in disyllabic words.Language transfer does not completely explain the errors of the acquisition of Chinese tones. In the teaching process,we found that Thai students with poor perceptual perception have difficulty in pronunciation of Chinese tones. The second-language phonological perception theories hold that phonological perception precedes phonological production, and phonological production errors often originate from phonological perception.Above all, based on theories of second language phonology perception,we choose the single-tone words and the changing tones in tone sandhi as the research material.Based on the study of Thai students' tone acquisition in the initial stage of Chinese,a new tonal teaching program including tone perceptual, tone perceptual training and tone consolidation is proposed from the perspective of tone perception. What's more, this study conducts a feedback study of the new teaching program. The results of tone acquisition show that the tone perception and output of the acquisition of Thai students in the initial stage of Chinese have the same characteristics: the acquisition of the third tone is the worst in four tones. In tone sandhi, the tone acquisition of rising tone and tone sandhi of Yi(?)are worse. We conclude that the acquisition of single-tone is better than tone sandhi,The study found that compared to the control group students who used the traditional tonal teaching method,Thai students in the experimental group who studied with the new tonal program had a significant improvement in perceiving single-character and tone sandhi, and the tone pronunciation also be improved. The study believes that, consistent with the viewpoints put forward in the secondlanguage phonological perception theories, tone perception is the premise of tone production, the correctness of tone perception often affects the tone production. The possible reason for the poor tone pronunciation of Thai students lies in the perception of tone. Therefore,we believe that the tonal teaching of Chinese as a foreign language can be based on the new teaching plan proposed in this paper, starting from the perspective of perceptual perception,to strengthen the second language learners' perception and distinction of Chinese tones, and to perform phased perceptual training. This will improve the learner's output of Chinese tone and improve the teaching effect of Chinese tones.
