Narrative Research On Book Editorial Design

In recent years,the rapid development of multimedia has exerted a subversive influence on paper books.The change of information carrier has changed people's reading habits and the way of information transmission.Traditional paper books are no longer the primary medium of information transmission.How to return to the material dimension of books and give play to their advantages has become a situation that book design needs to think about and face.The idea of "editing design" provides a new way to explore the current book design.It advocates that on the basis of overall design,book designers should further intervene in all processes of books,that is,directly intervene in the whole process of text creation and compilation,become the co-creators of book text information and visual language,and complete rational creation activities combining logical thinking and visual aesthetics.In this context,the role of the book designer is superimposed with multiple identities,which also puts forward higher requirements for the designer.But in the specific design practice,because of the lack of effective design methods,designers can not put forward the book editing design ideas and Suggestions.As a way of information organization and expression,narration is a new consideration for text,pictures and readers' reading process in book editing."Editing design" completes the essential purpose of conveying the information of book design,which makes the narrative discussion in editing design reasonable and necessary.Only through editing design can narrative application in book design be realized.This topic takes book editing design as the research object,takes narrative as the theoretical basis,starts from the concept of narrative design,introduces the technique of "narrative" into the process of book editing design,and hopes to explore an innovative method suitable for book editing design.The paper is divided into five chapters:The first chapter,mainly introduces the research background,research status,research purposes and methods,research innovation points,and explains the importance and necessity of this research.The two chapter,discusses the relationship between narrative design and book editing design through the definition and status quo of book editing design and the related discussion of the concepts of narrative and narrative design,and expounds the significance and importance of their combination.The third chapter,combined with the general process and steps of book editing design,respectively from the topic planning,text creation and visual interpretation of the three links to carry out research,analysis one by one,discusses how to fully and reasonably use narrative design techniques in the process of book editing design.Through the mutual integration and penetration of the above three links,the narrative strategy of book editing design is constructed.The fourth chapter,is the author's practice of applying narrative techniques to book design,with the concept of book editing as the leading role.Through the organic combination of "narrative text editing" and "design language expression",the overall narrative effect of the book is realized.The fifth chapter,making the corresponding summary of this subject.Different from the conventional concept of book design,this topic starts from the concept of editing design,conducts the overall thinking of books from the inside to the outside,and guides and improves the design practice with narrative techniques,in an attempt to bring new inspirations and ideas for the work of book editing and design.
