Research On Cinema Documentaries In China In Recent Five Years

Documentaries have played a role of political propaganda in our country for a long time,but the relatively narrow perspective of filming has made documentaries into a slow developing speed.Since the reform and opening up,with the loosening of documentary policy control,the rise of Chinese economic level,and the broadening perspective of the domestic audiences,the creation and development of documentary films has ushered in its own spring.In 2012,the documentary “A Bite of China” gained sufficient popularity across the country and won countless appreciation from audiences,which stimulated the documentary creators to see a potential large number of documentary audiences in China.As film industry develops,home line documentaries with aesthetic style also should have their own place in the industry.In the past five years,Chinese home line documentaries have developed very rapidly,and many excellent home line documentaries have continued to emerge on the screen.In recent years,along with the in-depth study of Chinese home line documentaries,having both the advantages of government policy support and the disadvantages of double-strike between home line commercials films and TV documentaries,the development of home line documentaries has always been in an awkward situation.This paper takes the development status of Chinese home line documentaries as the starting point,focuses on the past five years of home line documentaries as a sample scope to conduct a literature review and case analysis to explore the existing problems of out country's home line documentaries.Based on the summary of creation modes and production broadcasting mechanisms of foreign excellent documentaries,some targeted suggestions were come up with,for the documentaries developing in China.This thesis utilizes the literature research method to sort out the historical development and changes of Chinese home line documentaries from the beginning of China's documentary film,the period of bumpy comprehensive reform,to the inflection time of development opportunity in twentieth century.Facing the difficult survival status and development dilemma of Chinese home line documentaries,the case analysis method is used to analyze the current status of the home line documentary from substantial subject types,diversified creative subjects,and international preliminary exploration.The film observation method is exerted to analyze the insufficient development of home line documentaries,from the aspects of monotonous narrative subject,limited financing channels,audience's shallow awareness and lack of high-quality films;In terms of the future development of documentaries,through text creation,propagation media,and documentary audience,the development strategy was explored,in line with the development of Chinese home line documentaries.In this way,we can fully grasp the complete style and features of Chinese home line documentaries development.
