A Study On The Space Writing Of Scholars' History

As the first realistic satirical novel,Wu Jingzi's The Scholars is of great significance to the study of its novel space.Reading the text of the novel carefully,the novel involves many places,and the space is always in a flowing state with the characters going away,which shows Wu Jingzi's strong sense of space in his creation,this provides the basis and possibility for the study of space writing in The Scholars.At the end of the 20 th century,the space turn or space problem appeared in the field of cultural research and social theory,and space became a new hotspot in academic research.The traditional study of literary works has always paid more attention to the temporality of literature,while the study of literary space is relatively weak.However,any text creation can not be separated from time and space,which is one of the important objects of the novel.This paper will change the previous literary study of the emphasis on time and neglect of space in the literature of the status quo,from the perspective of space interpretation of Wu Jingzi's The Scholars.The space theory itself has the Interdisciplinary Research Field of vision,its research achievement concentrates in the philosophy,the cultural studies and so on,therefore has broadened and deepened the spatial concept connotation from certain extent.The combination of literary works with the concept of space is not only beneficial to explore the multi-disciplinary value of space research,but also provides new research ideas and perspectives for literary research.This thesis is divided into four parts to analyze the space writing of The Scholars.Before the analysis,first of all,I explained the topic and significance of this paper,secondly,I combed the research history and current situation related to this topic,in order to have a comprehensive and systematic grasp of the study of The Scholars and the study of space in ancient novels.The first partsummarizes the relevant space theories at home and abroad,and defines the object of this paper,"space",and summarizes the types of space development of ancient novels.The second part is about the text space analysis,which divides the text space of The Scholars into the region space and the living space according to Michel Foucault and Bashra's exposition of the space type and the space development type of the ancient Chinese novels,further carried on the subdivision,elaborated in each space character's survival pattern.The third part is about the cultural connotation of the novel space,which mainly highlights the sense of place in cultural studies,and combines the theories of Cultural geography,from group identity and individual identity,to explore the cultural implications of space from the perspectives of marginalized people and loss of reality,and to realize the Interdisciplinary Study of literature and sociology,Psychology,Cultural geography,etc..The fourth part of space writing on the literary role,in strengthening the connotation of the novel,Plot Hook has an important role.The study of the The Scholars from the perspective of space not only helps to interpret the literary space from the geographical,social,cultural and psychological aspects,but also excavates the literary value of the space of the The Scholars,it also provides a new perspective for literary creation and literary research.
