Chinese characters have a history of more than 6000 years so far,and they complement Chinese brilliant culture and make a significant contribution to regional exchanges and cooperation.Different from the phonetic system characters in other countries in the world,Chinese characters belong to one of the few ideograph system characters.Chinese characters are a very important part of learning Chinese as a foreign language.There is a big difference between Chinese characters and Pinyin alphabets,and the understanding of learners' language and characters.Learners who have not spoken Chinese characters and use Pinyin characters as their mother tongue will find it difficult to learn Chinese.It is difficult to master the tone of Chinese Pinyin and the structure of Chinese characters.And homophones,the meaning of the words is difficult to distinguish.Generally,the characteristics of difficult to recognize,remember and write Chinese characters have brought certain challenges to the teaching of Chinese characters.The author collects online dictation and writing assignments of some students of the Confucius Institute at the University of Hawassa,Ethiopia,and combines previous research results on the analysis of Chinese character acquisition errors to explore the Chinese characters acquisition errors of the Confucius Institute at the University of Ethiopia.Therefore,the corresponding teaching strategies are put forward to provide some reference for Chinese teachers in Ethiopia.The research of this article has two core parts.The first part mainly describes the overall framework of the content involved in this article,including the reason for choosing the topic,the content and method of the study,the meaning,and the current research on the errors in Chinese character acquisition Status.The second part(body part)first introduces the Chinese learning of the Confucius Institute at the University of Hawassa,Ethiopia,and then studies the writing errors in the process of acquiring Chinese characters by Chinese learners at the University of Hawassa,and makes detailed studies.Classification,and finally analyze the reasons for errors and giveexamples to demonstrate.It also puts forward effective teaching methods and strategies for various errors to provide some help for the future Chinese character teaching in Ethiopia.
