The Pedagogy of Performing Another Culture is a second language teaching method proposed by professor Galal Walker from Ohio State University in the United States.The Pedagogy of Performing Another Culture pay attention to "practice culture" in oral communication,it emphasizes the integration of language teaching and cultural teaching.Based on the theory of Functionalist linguistics and Constructive psychology,this paper aiming at the dilemma of elementary oral Chinese teaching,demonstrates the feasibility and adaptability of the Pedagogy of Performing Another Culture in elementary oral Chinese teaching in Fianarantsoa university in Madagascar.By setting and changing the context,students constantly imitate the behavior habits and thinking ways of Chinese people so that they can construct a second cultural world view.According to the pedagogical practice,the paper observed and studied the teaching effect on both subjective and objective aspects about the teaching method.From the above data and analysis,it can be concluded that the Pedagogy of Performed Culture teaching is suitable for the primary spoken language teaching in Madagascar.It can improve students' oral fluency,develop students' awareness of cross-cultural communication,and help them imitate and understand Chinese habits and ways of thinking.Last but not least,the following Suggestions are put forward for the elementary oral teaching in Madagascar:It is better to implement small class teaching,and teachers and students should choose the key topics to compile a suitable textbook for the elementary spoken Chinese teaching in Madagascar.At the same time,it is important to strengthen the classroom management and establish the perfect classroom evaluation mechanism.The author hopes these Suggestions can provide some help for the further application of the Pedagogy of Performing Another Culture in spoken language teaching in Madagascar.
