In recent years,with the widespread of Chinese,more and more foreign learners have developed a strong interest in Chinese and Chinese culture.However,due to the differences,learners can not quickly understand.In oral Chinese teaching,to improve learners' oral communication skills are the main goals of teaching.However,some Chinese teachers often pay too much attention to the vocabulary and grammar,they used to ignore the fundamental goals to use Chinese appropriately and fluently.The paper is based on the current problems in spoken Chinese teaching,and is based on the theoretical teaching method---The Pedagogy of Performing Another Culture proposed by Galal Walker,Department of East Asian Languages and Literature,Ohio State University.This teaching method is applied to the Chinese Department of the Higher Language School of Carthage University in Tunisia.Through the combination of “act”and “culture”,the Tunisian students' skills of oral and intercultural communication can be improved.This paper consists of five parts.The first part is an introduction,which summarizes the background and significance of related research in teaching Chinese as a foreign language,the current status of spoken Chinese as a foreign language and the cultural content of the Pedagogy of Performing Another Culture in recently years.In addition,it is the feasibility analysis of the Pedagogy of Performing Another Culture in the intermediate spoken Chinese classes in Tunisia.The second part,based on the above research,takes“the Gift of the Festival” as an example,designs the concrete teaching plan,analyzes the teaching object characteristic,also analyzes the teaching goal,the teaching material and so on,applies to the Tunisian Chinese language courses.At the same time,the teacher will make an evaluation for the results.The third part briefly summarizes the results of teaching practice.Based on the results of teaching practice,it puts forward suggestions for how to apply the Pedagogy of Performing Another Culture to Tunisian Chinese classes.The last part is the conclusion of this paper,pointing out the innovation and shortcomings.Through the research,we find that the teaching method can not only improve the autonomy of Tunisian students in oral Chinese learning,but also help them to deepen the construction of Chinese cultural world view,so as to improve their oral communication ability.The innovation of this paper is that the method of the Chinese language teaching originated from the Pedagogy of Performing Another Culture.And it appropriately adjusted to the local teaching situation in Tunisia,and has achieved good teaching effect.The disadvantage is the paper only takes one lesson of intermediate oral teaching as an example.In addition,there are some problems in teaching design,which are expected to be further improved and perfect in the future research.
