In recent years,China-Africa exchanges have become more frequent,and the relationship between the two sides has grown to a higher level.With the advancement of the "China-Africa Cooperation Forum",more and more Chinese projects are being carried out in Cape Verde,Africa.Economic development promotes cultural exchange needs,so the number of Cape Verde students starting to learn Chinese has gradually increased.However,the first obstacle encountered in the beginning of Chinese language is phonetic problems.Phonetics is the key to the second language learning of zero-based Chinese learners,and it is also a teaching problem that needs to be overcome in the teaching of second language.Therefore,how to find and correct students’ phonetic problems is the first task facing overseas Chinese teachers and workers.This thesis has five parts:The beginning part is the introduction.Firstly it tells the context,purpose,and significance of the research.Based on a comprehensive analysis and summary of the previous researches,it finds the research focus of this article and then introduces the research methods of this article.In the second part,the Chinese-Portuguese vowel system and the Chinese-Portuguese consonant system are specifically compared,which lays a solid theoretical foundation for the subsequent analysis of errors and teaching strategies of vowels and consonants.In the third part,the author investigated the students’ phonetic situation three times,and found the pronunciation errors of Cape Verde’s zero-based Chinese learning.In the fourth part,the author first analyzes the types of speech errors,and then elaborates the causes of errors in detail.The fifth part,according to the types of vowels and consonants,comes up teaching strategies of corresponding vowel and consonant,as well as provide some measures for subsequent phonological teaching at the Confucius Institute at the University of Cape Verde.The concluding part summarizes the whole article and points out the shortcomings of the research and the direction of future efforts.
