In recent years, with the further deepening of the reform and opening up,China's foreign trade has developed rapidly.Frequent economic exchanges and close cooperation between countries have made English contracts more and more important in foreign economic and trade activities, and the demand for contract translation has also increased steadily. The translation of the contract documents is closely related to the economic interests of both parties involved in the contract, therefore, the contract translator must ensure that the translation is accurate, precise, standard and professional.Vocabulary is the basic element of the contract,so accurate wording is the key to correctly understand and translate the contract. This report takes a translation of a company's Aircraft Airborne Component Repair Agreement as an example.Based on the case,it analyzes in detail the vocabulary difficulties in the contract translation process. The report is divided into four parts. The first part briefly discusses the background, objectives and significance of the translation project;the second part is the preparation of the translation, analyzing the content and the vocabulary characteristics of the original text and briefly introducing the translation process;the third part introduces the translation difficulties and analyzes the difficulties in the translation process from the perspective of vocabulary through case studies;the fourth part summarizes the translation experience and puts forward the problems to be solved urgently. In this report, the author analyzes the lexical difficulties encountered in translation practice by way of case analysis, proposes solutions and summarizes translation experiences and lessons, with a view to improving the author's translation level, and hopes that this report can provide references for translators who are engaged in the translation of such texts in the future.
