Study On Lexical Variation Of Damaiyu Dialect

Damaiyu Street is located in the southwest of Yuhuan City,Taizhou City,Zhejiang Province.Damaiyu dialect belongs to Wenzhou sub-dialect in the south of Wu dialect area,which has Yongjia accent and many characters in pronunciation,vocabulary and grammar.Historically,it has always belonged to Wenzhou City,but it belongs to Yuhuan City now.This paper attempts to analyze the variation of Damaiyu dialect from the perspective of sociolinguistics,combined with social factors such as gender,age,educational background,and territory.The results show that the variation of Damaiyu dialect belongs to the ongoing change and tends to be closer to Mandarin.The research results of this paper not only enrich the research results of Chinese dialects,broaden the field of dialect research,but also help to further understand,inherit and protect the local culture of Damaiyu.This paper consists of five chapters,and the specific contents are as follows:Chapter ? Introduction mainly introduces the geographical location,the current situation and research status of Damaiyu Street.It also explains the content,significance,theory and method of this study.In addition,it also introduces the collection and processing of corpus,including investigation plan,field survey and corpus processing.Chapter ? and chapter ? are about the study of vocabulary variation of Damaiyu dialect.According to Zheng zhangshangfang's Wenzhou Dialect and the results of the questionnaire survey,we divide vocabularies into the following nine categories: seasonal time,house construction,clothing and articles,personal character and relatives,disease and medical treatment,marriage and funeral social customs,daily life,movement feeling and character description.We also use Spss22.0 to make a quantitative analysis of the survey data of the lexical variables.The results of the survey are cross analyzed with the five social factors of gender,age,education,region and stratum to form a cross list,so that we can analyze the impact of each social factor on each variable.The Chapter ? The Characteristics and Causes of Lexical Variation in Damaiyu Dialect combines the cross-contingency table and chi-square test table,discusses the characteristics of lexical variation in Damaiyu dialect and analyses the reasons for the variation.The Chapter ? conclusion summaries the full text,and puts forward some shortcomings of this paper.
