A Study Of The Governor Of Sichuan From The Han Army Banner In The Early Qing Dynasty(1644-1795)

The qing dynasty was the last feudal dynasty in Chinese history,which experienced the continuous development of the three dynasties of shun,kang and yong,and reached its peak in the qianlong dynasty.Sichuan is located in the southwest of China,and its geographical importance is obvious.The importance of the governor of sichuan,who was in charge of the province as a territorial governor,is also obvious.The governor of sichuan from the Han Army Banner is a special part of the governor group.They promoted the social development of sichuan in early qing dynasty and witnessed the continuous development and prosperity of sichuan society.They were an important link between the court and the local government.It maintained the realization of the national will and the effective development of the local areas,maintained the stability of sichuan,consolidated the feudal rule of the qing dynasty and the development of the unified multi-ethnic country.Therefore,this paper selects sichuan governor from the Han Army Banner of the early qing dynasty as the research object,and makes a comprehensive investigation and research on their appointment by the court and their performance in sichuan.It mainly includes four aspects: first,investigation and research on the establishment and evolution of governor of sichuan in early qing dynasty,and his office;Secondly,the number of governors of sichuan province and the composition of manchu and han dynasties were sorted out,and the reasons for the changes were analyzed.Thirdly,it investigates the social conditions of sichuan region in early qing dynasty,and then analyzes how the governor of sichuan under the banner of han army managed and controlled sichuan region.Fourth,case study represented by Huang Tinggui.They accurately grasped the local situation in wartime,quickly put down the rebellion,developed production steadily in peacetime,and achieved high positions in their owncapacity,thus making important contributions to local construction and national governance and stability.
