On C-E Translation Of Instructions On Agricultural And Sideline Food Packages From The Perspective Of Skopos Theory

With the deepening of China's opening to the outside,economic and trade activity related to "One Belt,One road" have been carried out steadily,more and more Chinese agriculture products have also successfully sold abroad,and there is a growing demand for CE translation of instructions on agricultural product,especially on agricultural and sideline food packages.Qualified instructions on agricultural and sideline food packages not only to achieve the function of accurately conveying product information,but also to achieve the purpose of stimulating consumers to buy.this paper makes a qualitative analysis of instructions on agricultural and sideline food packages,aiming to find an ideal translation strategy from the perspective of Skopos theory.Under the guidance of Skopos theory,this paper finds that there are many language errors in C-E translation of instructions on agricultural and sideline food packages such as spelling errors,vocabulary errors,grammar errors;and there are many cultural errors such as chinglish,cultural-default and cultural misreading.These errors violate the Skopos Rule,Coherence Rule,Fidelity Rule and the Function plus Loyalty by hindering the effective transmission of agricultural and sideline food information,making it difficult for agricultural and sideline food producer to stimulate consumer' desire to buy.To solve the errors in the in C-E translation of instructions on agricultural and sideline food packages,improve the quality of the C-E translation,This paper divides the text style into informative text,expressive text,operational text and mixed text.Then,different translation strategies are adopted according to different text types and the translation rules of "skopos theory".In the translation of information text,literal translation with domestication is adopted.In the translation of expressive text,information generalization and domestication are combined.In the translation of operational text,according to the consistency between the consumeroriented "function" and the producer-oriented "intention",the strategy of domestication or the strategy of combining information generalization and domestication is adopted.In the mixed text translation,information,expression and operation translation strategies are integrated,and literal translation,domestication and information generalization strategies are adopted.
