A Practice Report On Interpreting For Product Promotion Conference At Sino-Dental? 2019

This is a practice report on English-Chinese interpreting.As one of the interpreters of Sino-Dental?2019,I undertook the task of consecutive interpreting of the speech delivered by Oliver Thews,the speaker of the New Products Promotion Conference.This report is based on the arrangement and review of the whole process of this practical project.This report consists of four chapters,including the task description,the interpreting process,the case analysis and the summary of the practice.First of all,the report introduces the background and purpose of the promotion meeting,and expounds the importance of the task by analyzing the unique characteristics of interpreting in the product promotion meeting.The second chapter describes the whole interpreting process in detail,including pre-interpretation preparations,on-site interpreting review and reflection on the whole task process of implementation.The third chapter selects specific cases to analyze,focusing on the key points and difficulties of the product promotion meeting,describing how I embodies zero translation theory and free translation and the interpreting results achieved in the practice.In the end,I summarize the interpreting practice and the defects in the process of interpretingHopefully,the report can provide some insight and reference for the interpreters in their interpreting practice of the international product promotion conference.
