A Practice Report On English-Chinese Interpreting For An Art Lecture Of Baoding Youth Artists Association

This practice report is based on the consecutive interpreting made by the author for an art lecture held by Baoding Youth Artists Association.The content of the lecture is mainly about artistic creative painting.Under the guidance of Gile's Effort Model,the author has completed the interpreting practice.The parts that comprise the practice report are task description,task process,case analysis,and post-interpreting summary.Task description mainly introduces the task background,task features and requirements,as well as the significance of the task.The second part is divided into preparations,interpreting process and feed-back.It provides details about the pre-interpreting preparations made by the author.The third part is the case analysis under the guidance of Gile's Effort Model.The author makes a detailed analysis of the success and failure cases in practice and discusses the coping strategies in this part.The fourth chapter briefly gives the gist of the author's reflections to the practice.This practice report is aimed to summarize the difficulties and problems occurring in the interpreting,and to provide a reference for interpreting in the same field.
