The Aesthetic Implication And Experience In Hirokazu Koreeda's Movie Space

Hirokazu Koreeda is the representative of young Japanese directors in the late 1990 s,and is one of the few directors in the contemporary Japanese film industry that shines at the three major film festivals in the world after the Kurosawa Akira,Ozu Yasujiro,Mizoguchi Kenji,and Naruse Misaki.It can be said that he has interpreted the new aesthetics of contemporary Japanese film on the basis of countless masters of Japanese film history.But Hirokazu Koreeda's unique space scheduling skill is one of the important elements that can help him get such great international attention.From the debut film "Maboroshi no hikari"(1995)to " The Truth"(2019),Hirokazu Koreeda has created 14 films.Among them,the theme of family occupies a large proportion and has higher artistic achievement.The family ethics film has become the "main line" of his film system,which is the high expression of Hirokazu Koreeda's personalized author style.The strong and stable author's film style makes him intentionally emphasize the logic of the image and reduce the narrative when creating the film,causing the invisible and emotional paving of the narrative.At the same time,the family ethics films focus on a lot of daily life,which makes him basically ignore the dramatic conflict,and put the focus of creation on the shaping of life flow.Weakening the dramatic narrative means that the time factor is degraded in the work.On the contrary,it relies on the details in the work,emphasizing the perception of volume,and focusing on the creation of space.The use of space to construct image logic to realize the rendering of emotions and the expression of life consciousness has become an important feature of Hirokazu Koreeda's film aesthetics.In the second half of the twentieth century,the field of humanities and social sciences began to explore space issues.With the construction and deepening of space theory,the knowledge base,analytical dimensions and cultural context provided by the space theory have become important theoretical resources for the humanities,and even changed the structure and appearance of traditional discipline research to a certain extent.Space transfer makes space consciousness and space problems more and more into the field of vision of contemporary aesthetics and gradually forms a theoretical system of space aesthetics.The improvement and enrichment of space aesthetics provide theoretical resources and perspectives for our research on Hirokazu Koreeda's space aesthetics.This article will take nine of his "mainline" works as the research object.This paper is going to analyze the aesthetic mechanism and meaning of Hirokazu Koreeda's space aesthetic experience expression from three aspects : natural landscape,family residence,and urban scene.Its purpose is the following two:One is to combine space aesthetics with Hirokazu Koreeda's film,expand the research path of Hirokazu Koreeda's film,and provide a more diverse perspective for the development of the film space aesthetic system.Another is to form a more targeted understanding of Hirokazu Koreeda's film aesthetics,so as to get creative inspiration about the construction of aesthetic mechanism of image space in domestic movies.
