With the rapid development of China's economic strength,Chinese education career gets the tremendous advance.In recent years,more and more teachers go to South Korea for teaching the Chinese language and disseminating Chinese culture.The purpose of this study is that through the analysis of the cross-cultural communication of the most typical cases,exploring and summing up factors,which affecting Chinese volunteer teachers cross-cultural verbal communication,and providing the corresponding improvement suggestions,in order to help Chinese volunteer teachers can proceed more smoothly cross-cultural communication activities,so as to better the human environment of Chinese teaching and adapt to South Korea.Through using methods of literature analysis and case analysis,this thesis describes and analyzes 14 cases,which relate to Chinese teacher volunteers to South Korea in the cross-cultural verbal communication.According to the contents,the cases have been divided into two categories: teaching vocabulary cases and life communication cases.The teaching vocabulary cases include two parts,homophones with different meanings and animal words.There are many life communication cases,so the author divides them into two categories: pragmatic greeting and interpersonal communication.Through analyzing and summarizing these cases,the author draws the following conclusions:The influence on the cross-cultural verbal communication of Chinese teacher volunteers to South Korea is not only from the objective factors of Korean culture,including the value and the semantic,but also from the subjective factors of Chinese teacher volunteers themselves,including the language ability and the thinking mode.At the same time,it also summarizes the real problems faced by Chinese teacher volunteers,including1.Lack of Korean language ability 2.Cross-cultural awareness and communication skills need to be improved;3.Lack of in-depth understanding of Korean culture.On the basis of these influencing factors,the author puts forward some suggestions to mend matters on the cross-cultural verbal communication,including three aspects,1.Suggestions on Chinese teacher volunteers:(1)improving the ability on the Korean language proficiency and communication skills,(2)fostering a good cultural tolerance,(3)Deal with the work relationship,improve the sensitivity of teaching;2.Suggestions on the National Hanban training courses:(1)enhancing the practicality of the course,(2)enhancing the psychological support for Chinese teachers volunteers;3.Suggestions on the Korea Ministry of Education:(1)providing the cultural communication and learning opportunities between China and South Korea for Chinese teacher volunteers,(2)improving the intercultural communication ability of Korean Chinese teachers.
