A Study On Semantic Map Of "Eat" Words In Chinese Dialects

"Eat" is a word with high frequency in modern Chinese.It has different forms in Chinese dialects and rich meanings.As a research method,semantic map can present the common and different features of the same function in different languages or dialects in a more intuitive form.So based on the modern Chinese national common language of the verb "eat" four kind of expression form in Chinese dialects "?,?,?,? " as the research object,with semantic map as a research method,build up the concept space,to map the semantic map,explore the words " ?,?,?,? " meanings in the characteristics of geographical distribution.The full text consists of five chapters,the first chapter is the introduction,the fifth chapter is the conclusion,the main body is mainly chapter 2 to chapter 4:The second chapter introduces some concepts related to semantic map and the operation steps of constructing concept space.On the basis of theory,the sense of "eat" words is processed,and 17 nodes in the concept space are determined.According to the principle of semantic map continuity,the arrangement is determined.The conceptual space of "eat" words in Chinese dialect is constructed.The third chapter describes in detail the specific meanings of "eat" words in 42 dialects.The dialect of " ? " is mainly distributed in the northern dialect area.The manifestation of "?" is mainly distributed in the areas of wu dialect and gan dialect.The manifestation of "?" is mainly distributed in hakka dialect area,min dialect area and guangdong dialect area.Based on the concept space constructed in the second chapter,the semantic maps of "eat" words in 42 Chinese dialects are drawn.The fourth chapter reclassifies the 42 semantic maps into six categories: "entering" system,"understanding" system,"accepting" system,non-"suffering" system,"bullying" system and "corruption" system.The meanings of "eat" words in these six sub-dialects have the following characteristics: "entering" system is mainly distributed in wu dialect area;"Understanding" system is mainly distributed in the northern dialect region under the Yangtze and huai sub-dialects;"Accepting" system is mainly distributed in thenorthwest dialect area.The non "suffering" system is mainly distributed in hakka dialect area and cantonese dialect area.The "bullying" system and the "corruption" system are scattered.At the same time,points out the " ?,?,?,? " four forms of the differences in distribution of meanings: the dialects with the form of "?" do not have "into" "hold" "don't put" "long live," and other meanings;The dialects with the form of " ? " do not have such meanings as "understanding","living and growing",and it belongs to the Yangtze river basin type in terms of geographical distribution.The dialect with the form of "?" do not have such meanings as "entangle","understand","fear",and the distribution of meanings is not as rich as the other three.And it belongs to the southeast coastal type in terms of geographical distribution." ? ",because its only applies to jianou dialect,and discusses its origin,development problems alone.In terms of geographical type distribution,the meanings of "eat" words belong to the qinhuai line,that is,the north and south are opposite to each other.In addition,on the basis of constructing the conceptual space,this paper deduces the semantic evolution path and implication commonality of the verb "eat" in Chinese dialect,and makes certain verification.
