A Practice Report On Interpreting For A Business Negotiation In Jinan New Area

As the third strategic development new area approved by Hebei provincial government,Jinan New Area is constantly attracting investment and carrying out new industrialization construction.In this context,the author was employed by Hebei Qikai Supply Chain Management Co.,Ltd.,to provide consecutive interpreting in the negotiation of Qikai and Hilti Co.,Ltd.This report is based on this interpreting on September 4,2019 in Handan City.The report consists of four chapters which respectively are task description,task process,case analysis and conclusion.Task description gives a brief introduction to the background,features and significance of this practice.Task process makes an introduction of the process of the task,including pre-interpreting preparations,interpreting process and post-interpreting reflection.Under the guidance of Interpretive Theory,case analysis mainly summarizes some interpreting skills used in the task,including explanatory amplification,adjustment of word order and omission.At the same time,it also reflects on some problems and deficiencies appeared in the task.Conclusion summarizes the limitations in the task and the gains from the task.This report is a summary of the practice.Through this summary,the author has deeper understanding of his own shortcomings,both in theoretical knowledge and practical ability.At the same time,this is also a process of learning and progress.Through the summary and reflection,the author has also accumulated experiences and improved skills.
