American psychologist Horwitz put forward the concept of foreign language anxiety in 1986.Since then,more and more scholars have studied the impact of foreign language learning anxiety on foreign language learning and found that the effect of learning anxiety on foreign language learning cannot be ignored.Based on previous studies,this thesis investigates Chinese learning anxiety of Myanmar students from five universities in Kunming.In this thesis,75 Myanmar students from Yunnan Normal University,Yunnan University,Yunnan University for Nationalities,Kunming Medical University and Kunming University of Science and Technology were investigated.The questionnaire survey method,interview method,statistical method and classroom observation method were used to investigate the status of Chinese learning anxiety and the causes of Chinese learning anxiety among Myanmar students.By using SPSS 25.0,I analyze Myanmar students' Chinese language anxiety,anxiety about Chinese learning among Myanmar students,effects of individual factors on Chinese learning anxiety of Myanmar students,reasons for Myanmar students' anxiety in learning Chinese.Finally,countermeasures to reduce Myanmar students' anxiety of Chinese learning are put forward for both teachers and students.The results of the study show that: First,most Myanmar international students will have moderately high Chinese learning anxiety in the process of learning Chinese.Second,Myanmar students are prone to self-evaluation,questioned anxiety,and test anxiety.International students in the low anxiety group also have correction anxiety,and international students in the middle anxiety group have hearing anxiety.Third,the twelve individual factors of gender,age,major,grade,ethnic Chinese,length of learning Chinese,family language,HSK level,HSK expectation,subjective cognition of Chinese learning difficulty,subjective Chinese level and motivation to learn Chinese in Chinese learning anxiety has different effects,and the length of Chinese learning before going to college,the length of time when they come to China,and whether they can speak Chinese dialects are not significantly related to Chineselearning anxiety.Fourth,the classroom activities of individual lectures,the difficulty of Chinese,the interruption of speech,the shame of poor performance,and the teacher 's repeated error correction but his failure to understand are the main reasons for Myanmar students 'anxiety in learning Chinese.At the end of this article,according to the characteristics of Chinese learning anxiety and the causes of Chinese learning anxiety for Myanmar students,I put forward specific suggestions for both teachers and students,helping Myanmar students' reducing anxiety in Chinese learning.
