With the continuous development of computer science and technology,software engineering technology and Internet technology,the immersive system is already a relatively mature virtual reality system,which can also be referred to as VR.The technology integrates various technical means,including High-definition stereoscopic projection technology,three-dimensional computer graphics technology,and diverse audio technologies.In the virtual reality system,users can feel the 3D environment they create through different angles.The Terracotta Warriors Museum and the University of London in the United Kingdom began the cooperation project of “Standardization of Handicraft Production and Labor Organization Model in the Qin Dynasty” in 2006.More and more people have joined the research on the production process and the firing process of the Terracotta Warriors.However,there are not many cases in which research results are combined with emerging technologies,and research in the VR field is extremely rare.The research and development of the immersive virtual experience system of this terracotta warrior burning process can help spread the production process,firing process and plastic arts of the terracotta warriors and horses,and let more people understand the artistic talents of the Chinese people more than 2,000 years ago.This paper firstly conducts related archaeological investigations on the firing process and burning situation of Terracotta Warriors and Horses in the Mausoleum of the First Qin Emperor,and then analyzes the functional requirements,scenes and animation requirements of the contextual terracotta warrior burning process virtual experience system and explains the design realization process.This research is based on the HTC VIVE VR helmet virtual reality system.In the early stage,the 3D software was used to create the model and animation elements needed for the virtual experience scene.The Unity3 D engine was used as the development environment of the virtual reality application software,combined with the basic principles of the virtual reality key technology.The development of virtual reality application realizes stereoscopic visual display,virtual and real interaction based on VR helmet and handle,allowing users to experience the structure of the terracotta warriors and the firing process and process in the virtual environment.
