Remote interpretation refers to off-site interpretation performed by interpreters with the help of communication equipment. In the information age,as a new interpretation mode, remote interpretation is occupying more and more seats in the interpretation market.Differing from the traditional interpretation mode, remote interpretation features in which the originator, interpreter, and audience do not exist in the same space. The physical distance makes it difficult to decode information during the interpretation. The video selected in this practice report is the original live broadcast of the game 1,the 2017-2018 season NBA finals. The writer performed simultaneous interpretation, recorded the entire practice process, transcribed the record and completed this report, which consists of four chapters: task description, process description, case analysis and practical summary. In the process of remote interpretation, difficulties in decoding information that interpreters encountered by the interpreter can be attributed to: fuzzy information, immature technical means, and lack of by-language.After researching the theory of remote interpretation and combining case analysis, the author puts forward strategies for these difficulties, such as amplification, syntactic linearity and omission. These strategies are proposed in combination with the previous research theory and the author's own practice, hoping that it can be used as a reference for information decoding in remote interpretation research.
