This report is based on the English-Chinese consecutive interpretation practice of a symposium series hosted by the CNUSA Think Tank, which was about the future development and investment of crypto digital currency. The symposium was conducted in the form of Q&A and semi-structured.Through analyzing the practical process of consecutive interpretation, the interpreter finds that the selected corpus covers specialized professional knowledge of digital economy and investment, each sentence include large amount of information featured with speakers' improvisational language. With the informal style and diversified language habits and accents, speaker‘s fast delivery and the physical noise have also cause problems to interpreter‘s listening and comprehension. In light of all the features, the interpreter summarizes the semantic, physiological, physical domains that influence interpreters‘ auditory recognition. In the guidance of Giles‘ formula for Comprehension and Effort Model, the interpreter analyzes the problems of effort distribution during the interpreting, and tries one‘s best to coordinate all parts of effort by using the technique of amplification, technique of omission, logic reforming, logic explicitation and others.By doing so,the interpreter improved the overall accuracy and cohesion of his output, strengthened his professionalism and ability to interpret under the finance background.Meanwhile, the interpreter realized there are some problems that arise in the interpretation process. Finally, the interpreter hopes this could convey more accurate knowledge of the digital economy to Chinese companies, organizations and individuals for them to engage into the digital economy world and make contributions to the interpretation in the digital economy world.
