With the development of China's sports industry, our athletes have achieved great results in the international competition and a lot of world-class sports stars have sprung up.A CCTV5 program called "Sports Stars Gatherings" shows the charm of these stars and spreads China's soft power to the world through interviewing sports stars. In order to understand this program better, interpreters need to improve interpreting quality. From the perspective of the Effort Model, interpreters need to receive, decode, memorize and re-express the information at the same time, which requires them to perform a large number of complex cognitive activities in a certain time, therefore in order to avoid the interpreters' unbalanced distribution of energy or the overloading processing capacity, the Principle of Least Effort in the interpreting activities is particularly important. It is of great theoretical and practical significance to study the Principle of the Least Effort. This paper selects three interviews from CCTV5" Sports Stars Gatherings" with Lang Ping,Lin Dan and Li Na as an analytic target for consecutive interpretation.Through case-analysis,this paper introduces the redundancy, which results from the difference of culture, unnecessary words,as well as the intensive information, and puts forward three strategy:domestication, omission and generalization in order to improve the interpretation quality, relieving the unbalanced distribution of energy at the same time in the task.
